OBJECTIF
Designing Hope wishes to exploit all works and messages
carried out for the
"I Love You Positive but Negative" campaign,
to mobilize new French messengers, so as to sensitize targeted populations
in Europe.
This action is different from Africa because the social context and prevalence
rate of the population is less important. The approach thus is targeted
on niches of populations more affected by discrimination related to the
HIV & AIDS, and the message adapted to insist on the importance of
the condom.
ACTION
>
TOWARDS THE YOUTH
Designing Hope has already mobilized in 2005 French singers around the
message of the campaign "I Love You Positive but Negative" (project
"Music4life"). This collaboration
had a very positive impact on various publics thanks to the effort of
some singers to relay this message through their public during their concert,
on their web site and through their fan clubs.
Designing Hope wishes to increase and diversify this list of supportive
artists with musicians and groups who can sensitize more youngsters :
- Rap Groups, with possibility of interpretation of the message in compositions,
- Electro groups (partnership on nights/events "One
Month of Love", cf: project "One month of Love" and
"Une nuit d'amour").
Internet will be used as a privileged media to communicate with these
targets and Designing Hope will try to establish links on these artists'
web sites to present their support to the campaign.", cf : projet
one month of love et une nuit d'amour).
> TOWARDS MIGRANTS
Designing Hope wishes to also tackle the problem of HIV & AIDS related
stigma and discrimination for migrants coming from countries particularly
affected by HIV & AIDS.
Designing Hope will use both its experience and local approach of the
problem in Africa and its creative and artistic approach in European coutries.
The approach will consist in working together with associations established
in France, select with them approproate artworks and messages to build
from the available tools a relevant campaign adapted to the needs of their
members or populations targeted by their action.
> TOWARDS GAYS
Designing Hope also want to adress gay populations in Europe. Despite
they were strongly sensitized to the problem of HIV & AIDS in particular
in the 80's / 90's, this mobilization has been slowing down these last
years since ARV availability changed the face of the virus.
However stigma still remains a real problem within this community and
results in particular in the fear of disclosing one's status to a new
partner. Designing Hope wishes to work with gay NGOs,
and get their respond and analysis of the existing visual datas to develop
adequat posters and tools.
